Any kind of a longer term ban?

Post by Sturridge » Sat Oct 02, 2010 6:14 pm

I have lived in the UK from 1999 until 2004, as an asylum seeker. In 2004, I have been refused asylum, and I have decided to leave the UK at my own will. In 2005, I have tried to enter the UK illegaly, with a false passport, but I have been turned away from Luton Airport, and returned to the Airport in Hungary, from where I started the journey. In Hungary, I have received a two year ban to enter the Hungary. As 5 years have passed since then, I was wondering if you could let me know if in 2005 I have received any kind of a longer term ban?

In the meantime, my life has completely changed. Although I have no intention to live in the UK, I do travel a lot, and am likely to need travel to the UK, or via UK, in future. Furthermore, my cintizenship does not require the UK visa. Therefore, I would like to avoid any problems with entering the UK, and would not like to be in a situation where I would be turned away from the border, so I would be graterful for any helpful information regarding my ability to travel to or via the UK.

There shouldn't be any ban currently.
