Name Change. Isthat a problem?

My wife is due to apply for ILR soon. Her passport and HSMP is currently on her maiden name. She recently changed her last name to married name with her employer (so P60s and Salary slips will now have new last name) and with bank (this affects the bank statements).

Can somebody please tell me the following.
1) When we apply for ILR do we apply with married name or maiden name? Note that the passport and HSMP are on maiden name.
2) Which name will appear on ILR?
3) Having different names on passport and P60s etc, does it create any problems?
4) Anything else which i should be careful about during application process. I plan to make in person application.

Does it make things easier if we get the name changed on passport?

If the intention is to use the new name going forward, get the passport re-issued with the name change. This will help you avoid complications in future (and not just restricted to immigration matters).
