Tier 1 (General) - Newly born Child in UK - FYI

Hi All,

I am a Tier-1 (General) visa holder and had a baby born in Jan 2010. We have just got his dependent visa stamped.

First Step: Get Birth Certificate from Hospital / Local Council

Second Step: Get NICOP (For Pakistani Nationals Only) (2 - 4 Weeks)
(NICOP - National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis)

Third Step: Get the passport (Pakistani High Commission took 4-6 weeks)

Forth Step: Apply for Dependent Visa
Documents sent to UKBA: (3 Weeks)
Fee: £475/-
a. Valid Passport of the child
b. Birth Certificate of the the child
c. Photocopy of (both parents) passport details page & latest Tier-1 Visa Stamp page
d. Savings Account Statement cover a period of over 3 months as Proof of Availability of Maintenance funds
e. Letter from Employer with particulars of my employment
f. Payslips for last 6 Months
g. Current Account statement showing Net Salary Deposits for last 6 months
h. Energy Bill (Recent) as proof of address with mine and my wife name
i. Notarized English Translation of Marriage Certificate as proof of my marriage
