Absence from the UK

Post by vashi » Wed Oct 27, 2010 12:07 pm

Hi

I am on HSMP Visa since July 2006 and it will come to PR renewal in July 2011. I understand that we cant stay more than 90 days in one go or 180 days in total within the span of 5 years. However, I am self employed with a limited company trading since 2006. I import from india and then retail here in the UK. For this, I have to go to India two times a year for ordering goods, i.e. business purpose and each trip could last a maximum of 30 days. I get goods through sea and have proof of accounts, purchase, VAT-Duties etc to show. I got just under one year left and thus I want to goto India in January 2011 for ordering goods for summer of 2011. I have already spent 220 days outside UK but have never crossed 90 days in one go. Out of 220 days only about 50-60 days have been spent on personal leisure/holiday. Can I travel to india in january 2011 for 2 months? Will it effect my PR application?

Regards
SS
