Does para 142 apply to applicants operating Ltd companies?

Hi guys,

Next year I will be applying for my Tier 1 (general) extension.

I have been working under my own limited company, "Joe Bloggs Consulting Ltd". I am the only employee. Each week my acountant tells me how much to pay myself from my company account. I pay myself a combination of salary and dividends.

I assumed that UKBA would consider me to be self-employed and that I would have to submit two pieces of extra evidence from para 142 of the policy guidance. When I asked my accountant how I could get the necessary evidence, he told me that para 142 does not apply to me because I am not self-employed. He says in the past he has helped several other clients to get HSMP/Tier 1 extensions without submitting the para 142 documents.

Do I have to meet the requirements of para 142 or not?
