Request for an initial COS

Post by ash786 » Tue Nov 09, 2010 3:42 pm

I have used this forum after a long time. I was just reading the notes on the Tier 2 General and have come across the following questions.

1. The initial request for COS says that you should not request a COS if the job starts after March 2011 (which i understand because of the permanene limit) but can be done before March.

2. It does not explain about the PSW visa holder process apart from under New Posts. Then it asks to give details of the vacant posts plus any existing post by the migrants but there is no table to do that.

3. If the PSW visa is expiring in Aug 2011, then there is no information about if the PSW can apply straight away after receiving the COS.

4. The form says that an employer should not request a COS if the migrant leave is due to expire no more than 60 days before the start of the job or the or migrant leave to expire. So does it mean that if the PSW visa holder visa is expiring in Aug 2011 then he can not apply in Jan or Feb 2011.

I hope people can share some lights on these questions.

Tier 1 and Tier 2 visa applications in April 2011

Post by koyo » Mon Dec 13, 2010 6:34 pm

Could this mean that if you are already in UK the limit will not apply after April 2011?
