tier 1 general in county dependant visa appeal time frame

Post by momalq » Thu Nov 11, 2010 4:55 pm

Hello

i need help,i came to UK in feb 2008 witha student visa of 3 years till oct 2010. During this time i met someone and with the certificate of approval given we married in th uk.On the 25th of sept i applied for my dependant visa. My husband has a tier 1 general visa. Just today i recieved my passport refusing me tier 1 dependant visa with the right to appeal.

I need to know whether my case is strong enough to appeal and if i do appeal HOW LONG CAN IT TAKE FOR A DECISION as im already in uk.

thanks

also to add.....i was refused on the grounds that i cannot change my status while within uk and i have to leave and make a new application....would the appeal be valid on human rights ground?

Return to home country and apply for EC as dependent of Tier 1 (General) migrant.
