Extension or File a new case

Post by ashish_iitd2002 » Thu Nov 18, 2010 10:13 am

Hello All,
My Tier 1 Visa is expiring after 6 months and at present I am in India.Next year I would like to enter again in UK,Hence for the same I would like to apply a new case and get a 3 years tier-1 visa again? Is this create any problem. My understanding:If a person can qualify points then he can apply tier 1 visa many times.
Please correct me If I am wrong.
Thanks in Advance.
Ashish

Correction - tier 1 visas are only issued with a validity of 2 years now.

Yes, you may apply again (afresh) and if approved, as mulderpf has mentioned, you'll be issued a 2 year visa.

If you can extend your current visa, that is the best option. What will make it difficult is you cannot apply a multiplier to any earnings, even if they were earned in India.

For a new application you will need to qualify under the current rules (stricter earnings criteria), and have to deal with the immigration cap, which will be a challenge in itself.
