Nationality Application sent. somebody made claim against me

Post by johnty » Thu Nov 18, 2010 11:03 pm

Hello there
what happens is that I have sent my application for nationality and the payment has been processed.

About 3 months ago when I left a car park where I work. after a while one one my colleague called me that I might have hit a car as the driver of the other car behind me still in the car park and checking his car.
I came back and met the driver he blamed me why I left without stopping.
I explained if there was any collision I would have know about it and woulda stopped to resolve the issue.
however there was no damage/dent or even scratch whatsoever.
I felt it was a con as one the Accident Claim guy was already there trying to make it look very bad on the issue that I did not stop etc.
Anyway I gave the driver my card and showed him my place of work just above the car park and took pictures and made video of his car for proof.

I did not her anything for 3 months until today the police turned up at my place of work about 5pm. I already finish work 4pm so they left their no to contact them tomorrow.

Sorry about the long details above. my question is.

although I think it is one of those insurance con they are trying to pull off and I will defend it if I have to.

Do I need to tell UKBA about this?

regards

thanks..

I understand what you mean..

I met the police officer and was onterviewed.

The offcer also seemed sympathatic however let see if the cps wants to do anything about it i.e want to press charges against me or not.

OK so when the decision is made I guess I do not need to worry about it then?

regards

No you don't. At the time of your application you hadn't been charged with an offence...in fact you still haven't.
