NEW ENGLISH TEST FOR SPOUSE VISA!!! Any help asap please?

Post by pedrobandeira » Sat Nov 20, 2010 3:00 pm

Hello,

I am a brazillian, currently applying on line for a spouse visa in Brazil and I have some doubts about the new english test. I have got almost all the documents for the application, but I am still waiting for some bank statements coming from London. My partner is South America too, but hes been travelling at the moment. Do I need a certified copy of his passport? Also, I dont think I will be able to apply for my visa before the 29th nov, when the new rule about the english test for spouse visa application starts running. My question is: If I submit the on line application on the 26th nov and hand in the supporting documents to the world bridge services after 26th, will I have to do the english test anyway? Is 28th nov the limit date for the on line application or the supporting docs? I am really concerned as I am just about to meet my partner in another country, but If i have to do the english test before the application, we will have to stay one more month apart from each other. Could anyone help me with this question as soon as possible? The application is imminent. Thank you very much.

The date you pay fees for the application is the date of the application. Hence, if you pay the fees before 29-Nov you will be exempt from the new English test requirement.
