The fact you are a skilled worker in this age of high unemployment will not be seen as a positive factor and DL will take forever even if you are successfulDesiree28 wrote:I have had my fair share of UK immigration battle since May 2009. Made ILR applicatio in time based on marriage but it was refused as the marriage was not subsisting. Had appeal date on 16/12/2010 but husband left the marital home with my money (there had been issue of domestic and financial abuse). Upon advice of a lawyer withdrew appeal and put in DV application. It was refused and subsequent reconsideration upheld the decision. Home office has my passport and have been asked to leave. I had a social work post but the council withdrew the offer cos i have no right to work. the council is not licenced to sponsor migrant and they said they don;t intend to. i have since been looking for another job with hope to get COS. I don't kow what to do. Even if I do get COS, the fact that i overstayed is a problem. Been thinking about discretionary leave and that fact the i am skilled worker can be a positive factor. I will really appreciate your contributions.
