Should I apply before my documents are in my possession?

Should I apply before my documents are in my possession?

The last of my documents for my application should be arriving this week (3 business days). Is it reasonable to go ahead and apply today online to sort of "get my foot in the door" a few days early? Or do they not even put you in the queue until they have received your supporting documentation?

Sorry, I know I'm trying to be clever here. I'm just wondering others' opinion.
