Looking for advice on a good solicitor

Post by robohogg » Fri Dec 17, 2010 3:25 pm

Hi.

I apologise if I've posted this in the wrong place. I'm trying to find a reliable and trustworthy solicitors to help me with a fairly complex immigration situation. Has anyone here used someone who they would recommend? There seem to be hundreds of companies claiming all sorts of things on the internet, but I'm all too aware that there a lot of companies out there who will just take your money, do a half hearted job, and tell you to get lost. I need someone who knows the ins and outs of immigration law, has lots of practical experience with how the laws are actually applied, and will be honest and upfront, rather than taking my money and promising the earth, with no results.
Unfortunately, I'm a pretty low income earner(due to my situation), so I wouldn't be able to afford someone charging exorbitant fees..but I realise that no one good is going to be cheap.

I hope someone can help. Thanks.

It would help if if you tell us whereabouts you live. That way people will try and recommend someone near to you
