Official guidance from http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... intenance/Neel_81 wrote:Hi,
I am applying for the Tier 1 (general) visa. As a supporting evidence for maintenance funds as well as salary credit I will need to provide with bank statements.
I have the regular bank statements for all the eleven (11) past months, except the current (recent) one. If I request for one from Natwest, it takes 7 - 10 working days - and current Visa expiry date will be nervously close if I waited for that period.
It says in the website that I can submit electronic copy of the statements. Well, I went to bank asking for the same - and all they gave me was a printout for the period on plain paper and stamped & signed each page saying "This is a true copy" on every page. They are unwilling to give me a covering letter for the same. Will this format last statement do? I am nervous and sceptical about using it! Has anyone already used this method and been successful? Please suggest....
Cheers
Neel
Does it have the bank stamp too in addition to the "true copy" stamp?Neel_81 wrote:Hi,
I was just wondering how does it translate to my case where the bank has given me Print out of the statement in a paper (has the logo etc) and stamped on each page 'This is a true copy'.
Please see the following link (Maintenance section) for the exact requirements if you wish to use bank print outs: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... idance.pdfgregshukla wrote:Does it have the bank stamp too in addition to the "true copy" stamp?Neel_81 wrote:Hi,

Yes, it does have the branch stamp to which I had gone to get the print out. It has all other criteria except -gregshukla wrote:Does it have the bank stamp too in addition to the "true copy" stamp?Neel_81 wrote:Hi,

Without actually having seen the bank statements you have in your possession, it is very difficult to determine whether or not they are sufficient. I would therefore suggest you seek a professional to double check which may save you a lot of time, money and hassle in the long run.Neel_81 wrote:Yes, it does have the branch stamp to which I had gone to get the print out. 1. It is NOT on official bank stationary
2. They will not give me a covering letter for the same
Thanks a lot for your answers
Thanks

Ok. It is a fair suggestion, and it should not cost me an arm and a leg! Yes, I think I would rather show my complete application to an immigration lawyer asap.chinagef wrote:Without actually having seen the bank statements you have in your possession, it is very difficult to determine whether or not they are sufficient.
