ILR & claiming of Benefits

My wife has now ILR. I am British citizen.
Can anyone advise whether I am now able to apply for Pension credits and Council Tax Benefit?

You could apply for them bfore ILR was granted as you are a British citizen

I did not apply for any benefits before my wife received ILR to avoid any chance it might be refused. Will her application for citizenship in the future be affected by my claiming benefits?
