Suggestion needed

Hello,

I been in UK under work permit only working for same company and my current visa is expiring on May '11. I will be eligible for ILR come April '11. I am planing to get married on May'11.
I would like to get guidance from the experts on how to go about on the below options.

1. Apply for work permit extension first then bring the dependant and apply for ILR for both. - Does this option has any restrictions or constrains.

2. Apply for ILR for me alone bring the dependant as ILR dependant (not sure on the procedure) - What are the complexity with this options.

Any advice or suggestion welcomed.

Since an extension will be under PBS route and under PBS rules dependants need to be resident in the UK for 2 years before being eligible for settlement it makes no difference whether your spouse applies for entry clearance as dependant of Tier 2 migrant or as spouse of settled person. In either case, she will be eligible for settlement only after living in the UK for 2 years. IMHO, apply for ILR in April in person and get you wife to UK on a settlement visa.

Or, get married and get your wife to UK as dependant of WP migrant (form VAF2) before you current leave (as WP migrant) expires, and then apply for ILR together (both of you).

It gives me clear details on how to go on this. One more clarification, my fiancé has BDS degree, I would like to know whether her degree should suffix for her english proficiency or she need to take IELTS course.
