Applying for PR after retention of rights

Post by bobobo » Mon Jan 10, 2011 10:06 am

I need to clarify something with the experts on this forum. I had retained my rights of residence after divorce with an EEA national, and had received a confirmation from the HO of this in the form of a new RC and a letter that confirmed that I am no longer dependent on the EEA national to exercise my rights in UK. I have tghe following questions and would be grateful if someone could please clarify these:
1. When I apply for PR do I need to fill the EEA 4 form or do I just send a Covering Letter to the HO explaining the situation along with the letter I recd from HO pertaining to my retention of rights?
2. I have loads of document that confirm co-habitaion in excess of 5 years, these include Bank Statements and Credit Card Statements. I do not have proof of my ex spouse working through out our marriage (she was working in the same place for the last 5 years), but I do have payslips that cover the initiation of the divorce until the grant of decree absolute, also I do have the bank statements that show that her salary was paid in the bank account. would this suffice when i point this out to the HO and they can refer the bank statements to check this.

Thanks in advance for your help on this.
Bob

You need to use the EEA4 plus a cover letter as well.

You need to provide prove of residence with your Ex until divorce and and then after of course yours.

documents: your EX sponsor (EEA member) pay slips should be okay covering all the period until the divorce, bank statements are extra, P60 could be replaced by providing one of each 6 months if (monthly payment) as I we did not supply all the 5 P60's
And we did not supply any Bank statement, but as long as you have them would support your application.

All the best

PS we got our PR already .
