Naturalisation application for my wife and kids.

Post by 1rithu23 » Mon Jan 17, 2011 10:06 pm

Hi,
I have been following this forum for some time and i think you guys are doing a great job in helping guys like me.
I came into UK in Feb 2005 and my wife and a daughter(born in India Th June 2005)) joined me in March 2006.We had our second child in sept 2007(born in India). My wife and elder kid were out of UK for more than 10 months for the second pregnancy and came back only in may 2008 along with the younger one.
We all applied and got our ILR in Feb 2010.My question is can I apply for Naturalisation now in Feb 2011 for all four of us of if not when can I apply for my wife and my daughters.
If i cant apply for my wife along with my application then can I apply for my daughters along with my application.
Hope i am clear

Many Thanks

Your spouse may apply for naturalisation through either of the following routes:
Route 1 - Complete 5 years in the UK and upon fulfilling standard requirements apply for naturalisation.
Route 2 - After you are granted British citizenship (naturalisation certificate), your spouse may then apply for naturalisation as spouse of British citizen as and when requirements for spouse /civil partners are met.

For born-abroad child(ren) under 18, application for registration as British citizen may be submitted at the same time as either parent's naturalisation application. Registration at discretion under section 3(1).
