Do I need to submit my and my wife's passports for MN1

Post by annie_ag » Tue Jan 25, 2011 3:08 pm

Hi

I am applying for naturalisation of my son with MN1 form under section 1(3).

Me and my wife are Indian passport holders and got an ILR after my son was born. My son also has an Indian passport. I am applying for naturalisation of our son obly. I am slightly confused about the documents I require to submit. The UKLA website says I require:

the child's full birth certificate; and
the child's passport used on entry to the United Kingdom and any other subsequent passports; and
the parents' marriage or civil partnership certificate.

Some other places I have read say that I will require to submit mine and my wife's passports as well. Is this really required. I am keen to send as minimal documents as possible. Can someone please help?

If your son's passport has the ILR stamp then No; you do not need to send the passport. Where have you read that you need to send your passports as well ?
