EEA3-Time spent studying, job seeking-Comp medical insurance

Post by ammirza » Mon Jan 31, 2011 2:16 pm

Hi Everyone

While filling EEA3 application, I am confused on a couple of things, listed below, to which I would appreciate opinions:

- Which box should I tick when I was searching for job. "Employment" box or "self sufficient" box.
In 2006, I was searching for 4 months, then in 2009 I was job seeking for 3 and a half months. In 2006, I didn't take JSA, whereas, in 2009 I took income based JSA.

- If I select "self sufficient" box for any of the above 2 time durations, how can I produce comprehensive sickness insurance document back dated? So, I think that I can rather do not tick self sufficient box and just submit bank statements for 1st time period and JSA document for 2nd time period when I was job seeking. Any thoughts?

- Similarly, I studied from 2005-2006, is it must to submit comp sickness insurance doc during that period? Ofcourse, I do not have that, what should I do now?

I shall appreciate any comments, experiences, way arounds etc.
Thanks in anticipation.

Qualified person and in general, the ECIS. No, you can't backdate an insurance.

Thanks.

However, in EEA3 application form, there is no category of Qualified person to be ticked.

The only options are
- Employment
- self employment
- study
- economic self sufficiency
- retired
- permanent incapacity

If I tick "self sufficiency" when I was job seeking, I doubt that they'll demand comp insurance certificate. Therefore, I am in a fix as to what box to tick for the period when I was looking for job as per my 1st post's scenario.

Besides, if you can't back date insurance, how can you get study year count towards your continuous 5 years period?

Any thoughts anyone?

Have you had a look at 6.(2)(b)? They will want to see that certificate, see 4.(1)(c).
