Question about visit visa

Post by uknorth » Mon Feb 07, 2011 11:16 pm

Hi,

My mother was refused a visit visa in 2007 and 2009. But in 2009, we appealed and won the case. My mother came to UK in 2010 and stayed for less than 3 months here.

Now I intend to invite her again to visit me for 3 or 4 months. Many people say that she should not have much problem for visa this time as she got six months visa before and visited UK for less than 3 months.

But I am quite worried because of the previous refusals and need some expert advice. ECO refused before saying that she did not have any bank statement and much family commitments in Pakistan. But I had sponsored all of her visit expenses. During hearing in 2009, I showed the family chart giving details of my sisters and brother and his family in Pakistan.

Keeping in view the above scenario, can somebody guide me about the documents to attach and any particular things to be careful about.

Thanks a lot!
Zeekay

Hi mate

It does not matter that she was granted or refused in the past.If you meet the requirements at the time of your current application than you will get the visa.

But make sure you submit every document specified by the Visitor guidance.Because its your responsibility to satisfy the entry clearance officer.

Good Luck

Thanks for your replies.

I have read the links sent by you and have downloaded VAF1B Form and guidance notes. I will fill in the forms and will ask you a question if I need further help.

Regards.

Is it a good idea to attach family chart with the visa application to prove that my mother has enough family ties in Pakistan that she goes back after a short visit to uk?

Thanks
