When to apply for FLR?

Post by R4ni » Thu Feb 10, 2011 1:12 am

Hi
my sis-in-law arrived in the UK on 15 feb 2009 but her entry clearance was valid from 23/01/2009 to 23/04/2011

i'm really confused as to whether she needs to send her papers off on friday to reach the office before 15 feb or wait until near the start of april 2011???

Can anyone help??

Your question is not clear.
Can you please tell a bit more.On which visa she is at the moment and why you want to send papers before 15 feb.

Hi thanks for replying..

i thought she had to apply before 15 feb because that was the date she arrived in the uk... she came here on a spouse visa...

i've heard from other people that it has to be before she actually arrived to britain because that is when she has been in britain for two years (this is why it confuses me), not before the visa ends...

so her application would have been rejected if she had sent it too early... thanks sushdmehta...

Assuming that she's on a spouse visa:

If she satisfied all the requirements, then she may apply for ILR now (KOL required).

No.

Why is she applying for FLR? Is she not eligible for ILR yet (e.g. - KOL not passed)?
