Writing to UKBA

Post by confused442 » Mon Feb 14, 2011 12:37 am

Hi All,

My story......Was married a over a year ago, wife entered the UK some 9 months ago. Unfortunately due to irreconcilable differences we have decided to part ways. I have lost my job and can no longer afford to financially have her living with me.

She has pleaded to allow her to see through 2 years so she can obtain her ILR, i simply cannot get through 2 years to support her and then lie at the end of it.

I have spoken to the local authority who say she is not eligible for benefits

Because of these circumstances i am seeking to cancel her visa as neither i nor the state will support her stay in this country.

Please can anybody advise what i must do and if i have to write to the UKBA what documents or proof must i provide. And also what wording does the letter require?

Info is here:-

You don't "cancel her visa", you just inform UKBA and the matter is then out of your hands. It's up to them what happens to her.
