Does dependent need an ATAS clearance certificate?

My wife and I are in the process to renew our visas. I will be the main applicants and my wife will be the dependent. Both of us are studying at the same university and our courses begin with JACS code H6. According to regulation, I need to apply a new ATAS clearance certificate for applying the extension of leave to complete my study. In our case, will my wife (who's on dependent visa) need to apply herself an ATAS clearance certificate too?
