British by Descent, Birth Certificate Questions

First off, fantastic forum. Thank you everyone in advance for your help.

Ok, so I'm currently gathering all the docs needed to apply for a British passport. I need to supply a birth certificate that has been dated within 3 months of my birth. Apparently this is so because adopted children can reapply for a birth cert showing their adopted parents as their natural parents. My birth cert has several dates listed: "Date Accepted for Registration" has a date listed 6 months after my birth. My Mothers signature on the cert is listed one day after my birth. The attending physicians sig is listed some 15 days after my birth. My question is, will the British Embassy accept this doc as satisfactory proof that i am not adopted given the information listed above? Do you think they will overlook the signature dates and just see the "Date Accepted for Registration" and note that its 6 months after my birth and then reject my application?

Who knows? They can refuse passport applications on a whim. If you apply for a Right of Abode stamp, then it is more difficult to refuse.

What other evidence have you that you were not adopted? Can you get a letter from the state registry confirming that the birth certificate was not reissued following adoption?

The Embassy don't like it when adults show up claiming to be British (you will at least get an ROA stamp, even if you have to fight for it or endure a delay), you would have had it much easier if proof of citizenship was all done when you were a child.

I sent a letter to the state registry but who knows if they'll respond or even provide what I'm looking for.

Also, why don't they like when adults show up claiming to be British? Would the fact that I'm in my mid 20's work against me?
