Please help - WP experience vs HSMP experience

hello all,
I am planning to apply for HSMP next month. I have completed one year in UK on a WP. When I applied for WP, i had shown experience of 4 1/2 years. The first company where I worked for 6 months is bankrupt now. I will not be able to get the reference letter from them. The next company where I worked for 2 1/2 years, I was on internship for the first 6 months. The experience letter from that company doesn't talk about the internship. I wanted to know from you people whether it will be OK to show experience of 5 1/2 years or 4 1/2 years (excluding experience from 1st employer and internship experience ) when applying for HSMP? Will it be a problem if I show less experience than what I showed for WP?
