Applying for tier 2 without passport

Post by noob_immigrant » Sun Mar 27, 2011 3:06 pm

Hey guys,

I am newbie here. In a tricky situation, would appreciate any advice you have to offer me.

I am here on ICT and valid until 10th April. I had applied for my tier 1 on 16th March. I havent yet got my tier 1 yet.

My company in the meanwhile is processing for my tier 2 extension and have issued me a CoS (as per existing tier 2 rules). I have to make an application before 6th April before new rules come in.

I am not expecting my tier 1 application to be processed by 6th April (or even 10th April). I just wanted to know can I send in my tier 2 application and write a letter to UKBA saying they have my passport for my tier 1 application (if I can include the reference no and passport no) stating I withdraw my tier 1 application. would that be fine ?

It would be all fine in case my tier 1 get approved but If not, I am guessing I might have to go back to my country to apply for tier 2 ( in case my tier 1 gets rejected!)

as far as i know, you CANT have two parallel applications with UKBA.

so you must wait until you get result on your tier 1 application OR withdraw it, and make another application

cheers

Alternatively, the OP may vary his/her Tier 1 (General) application to a Tier 2 application.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
