What is your current visa?kebab001 wrote:I came in uk 2001, i seeked asylum and i was given 3 years discretionary leave to remain. just before my leave expired my solistor wrote to the home office. the home office wrote back to me that your application has been allocated to a caseworker to be considered but i can still remain here on the same conditions previously granted until the application is decided. i am now 7 months pregnant so i applied for section 4 support, 2 weeks after i applied my section 4 support was refused. this is what they wrote. ;you are refused section 4 support for the following reasons, u you applied asylum in 2001 and you were given DLR, you submitted an in time application for further leave to remain and as such the entitlements given to you at the time you were granted still apply. as you have submitted an in time application you cannot be therefore be deemed as a failed asylum seeker and you are not entitled to section 4 support. guys, that is my story. pls tell me, what will i do next? please advice me.
