Wrong Address and Name on my visit letter

Post by sandie2000 » Thu Apr 14, 2011 3:52 am

Hi,
My issue may sound weird. I am applying for a visitor visa. My uncle sent me an invitation letter but he mistakenly put my niece's namr and address instead of mine. And i sent the docs (i should've checked). Will my visa be rejected? All my other documents are correct.

Thanks.

It may make the ECO a bit suspicious when he is looking at the application.

The last thing you want to see happen is that the ECO has any doubts over your application, because they only need need that " doubt " reason to refuse you.

I mean if its an invitation letter and he has addressed it to wrong person, then that is a major mistake and teh ECO will question your close relationship with your uncle to see if is really genuine

But if the ECO uses his common sense, and accepts that it is a genuine mistake, he may well issue visa.

Its touch and go at the moment
