What will happen to my accrued years?

Post by eben » Sat Apr 16, 2011 7:54 pm

Good evening all!
This year in May I will have been in the UK for 5 years on an EEA Family Permit Residence Card. There are no problems with absence, HMRC stats etc. I've been a very good boy :)
Also no problem with the EEA member who is exercising Treaty Rights.. my wife who has been living with me all the time and now also our 1 year old son...

The thing is: I will be working for an extended amount(more than a year) of time for my company out of Slovakia from June.
I will have a Slovak contract and will be paid by the Slovak part of my company.

How will this affect my immigration status in case we ever decide to return to the UK? Would I still be able to get ILR? Could I apply for ILE from abroad? Or, shock/horror, do I have to start right from the beginning?

Does anyone have any ideas or any documents about this that I can have a look at please?

THank you and have a good evening.

Permanent right of residence not IRL but obtained automatically as per link. See also the ECIS and this how to obtain confirmation of the right.
