Regarding Tier 1 General dependant Appeal Process

Post by inquiry100 » Sun Apr 17, 2011 7:20 am

I applied for tier 1 general dependant visa in chennai on end of Dec 10 and got the visa rejected because of maintennce funds. I showed 4000 pounds (1600 + 1600 + 800) . 1600 for me + 1600 + for my son + 800 for my husband who is in uk for less than 6 months.

But the visa got rejected saying my husband has to show 2800 and so i should have shown totally 6000 pounds.

I appealed against the decision in Jan 11 and on 25th march i got a letter from UK tribunal saying your appeal decision will be made on or after 25th may without a hearing as i opted for no hearing. They told the decision will be made on papers.

My question is is there any chance of the tribunal over turning the decision ? If the decision is overturned, how long it will take for me to get my passport stamped ? Is it worth waiting for the appeal decision ?

Pls help.
