Citizenship by birth and other advantages- HELP

Post by Sheronia » Fri Apr 22, 2011 10:29 am

I was born in UK in 1989 in Aberdeen, Scotland. My parents had a 1 year visa to stay in UK at that time since my father was studying in Aberdeen. An year later we came back to our home country, Pakistan. Since my parents stay was legal, can i obtain a British passport?

If not, what benefit will I get for being born in UK? Can I stay there for as long as I want? (perhaps on a work visa?)

Unfortunately, if neither of your parents had ILR/British Citizenship at the time of your birth, then you don't have any special advantages.
