HSMP-EC(1yr or 2yrs)

I received HSMP approval 9th March, stating i'm to apply for EC
within 3 month. I'm now about to go to Embassy for EC Visa.
In view of the recent changes in rule from April, How many year
will I apply for regarding my EC Visa. Is it 1yr or 2yrs?
Please help.
