My employer applied for a work permit on my behalf, and I also had to send my passport because FLR was expiring.

The employer was refused a work permit and I have just received an offer to study for PHd! Can I ask the Home Office in Doncaster to send my passport to the relevant office where the decisions on student visas are made???

many thanks for your opinions and help

I suggest you ask for your passport first and then submit your student visa application with it to avoid any confusion.

Good luck.

Tahnks for the reply.
The problem is that when i recieve my passport without a work permit approval, I will have to leave the country. And I know that people in overseas consulates dont issue student visas easily when you were previously on a work permit.
