Can Dependent stay without Primary Applicant

I am a Tier 2 (ICT) dependent visa holder, currently working in UK. What happens if the primary applicant is transferred back to his base country (India)? Till how long can I stay & work here, is it till my visa is valid? If not, what are the options available for me apart from applying tier 1 from outside UK

Tier 1 is closed since Apr 2011 so forget it.

Otherwise, you need to try Tier2 Sponsored visa.
