To register a minor child as a british citizen, can an application be placed through the NCS or doest it have to be postal application?

postal if the application is made only for the child but if you are including it along with your application then it goes thru NCS or whatever means you take

Also in my case it took less than 2 weeks to get my child's passport via the postal route
