FLR (M) application help

Post by can889 » Fri Jun 03, 2011 8:49 am

Hi,

Am about to apply for a FLR(M) visa, but very confused about the process. I want to apply in person so I have to make an appointment online which I have done, but it doesn't give me any application form. Where do I get the application form from? Do I fill out the interactive form and upload it even though I'm applying in person, Do I pay online or when I'm at the office?

Can someone please give some guidance on the process.

Also my wife doesn't have any bank statements as she does not have a uk bank account, only US ones (shes from the US)
Is it ok for just me to provide proof of income and savings?

Thanks for the advice.

!. Booking an appointment to apply in-person is a different process from applying online.
2. If you wish to apply online, you'll have to pay online. Use interactive form to do so.
3. If you wish to pay for the application on the day of appointment, use paper form.

Click "FLR(M) application form and guidance" - link available on the top right side of the webpage, and follow instructions given.

Thank you for your reply.

I have booked an appointment online to apply in person.
So does this mean I need to apply online first?

When I use your link and click on the application form and guidance, it takes me to the online application, download a interactive form and pay online.
There is nowhere to download the actual paper form...?

I and still totally confused which I'm ment to be doing for applying in person.

No. Whether you wish to "use the interactive form and pay online" or "use a paper form and pay at PEO" is your choice.

There is, if you read carefully.

thanks again for you quick reply. I can see the paper form download now.

do you think there are any advantages/disadvantages with using online/paper? Which route should I use?

Also, about our finances, Only I am working at the moment, she has no bank statements (all in the US and not much in account anyway)
Is it enought for only me to provide bank statement and payslips, I have over £1800/pm after tax.
Should we try and get her US bank statements also?

i would use the paper form as the online form is laborious and doesnt always let you put in n/a when required.
