payment processing time 4-6 weeks??

hey everyone, Ive got a question about payment processing times.

somebody mentioned that HO is now outsourcing the payment processing to Siemens and it may take up to 6 weeks (!!!) before the payment is taken and application is passed on to be considered. I was under impressions that the payment was usually taken the day after the application arrived at the HO - whats the point of outsourcing if its not making the whole process any more efficient, in fact adding an extra 4-6 weeks waiting time... Confused

anyone know anything about this??

my payment was taken in 1 week and that was for an application submitted end of april.
