Hi All, I am new to this forum and I must confess that this website is very good and totally helpful. Naturally, I don't like the idea of applying for benefits but I am in a dire situation at the moment. I am a family member of a EEA Citizen and I have a Residence Card ( 5 years. Freshly Issued ). Am I entitled to any form of benefits? Can I apply for housing benefit? Will my collecting benefits affect me later on when I want to apply for ILR or British Citizenship? My Residence card states: 'Employment and Business Activities Allowed.' It did not say I don't have any recourse to public funds.
