working tax credit.spouse visa apply.recourse to public fund

Post by ferryman » Sun Jun 26, 2011 10:30 am

hi everyone.difficult to know where to begin.here goes.i got married 14 months ago in philippines.i have been back to visit her again since.my wife needs a settlement visa to come to live with me in uk.a two bedroomed single occupied council house.my problem is i am self employed and claiming working tax credit because of low income.i also get a rent allowance and very small council tax allowance.total income is £182.70 including the aforementioned working tax etc.my total outgoings are 104.55 as i am living happily on a meagre budget.i also manage to send my wife £50 a week .is there any chance a visa would be granted.i have heard it is possible her visa then stamped .no recourse to public funds.we have a large portfolio of all supporting documents ielts etc .the cost of visa is large so would not like to waste the £800 plus visa fee and jeapordise future application.please please could anyone help me.i would be so grateful of any help.thanks

You need an income of £105.95 per week after rent and council tax so start your application process when you are ready
