need honest advice from members

HI guys,
some of you might know from last year.

i have applied for LR after 5 years of eufam 4 residence and waiting for a reply.

My wife has gotten sick and needs an operation again. Some of you might know she had one 1 and half year ago.

She has to go for this operation outside of Ireland again. This could take up to 2 to 3 months until she is fully recovered.

I am planning to inform INIS as well and send the doctor report as well with the letter.

I wont risk her health for my LR. I will stay in Ireland as her parents will look after her. Though, visit her off course.

Will her absence during mz LR application affect my application

please replz.

By LR, I assume you mean a Permanent Residence Card for a family member of an EU citizen?

What is your history in Ireland?

The PR Card is just a confirmation that you have PR. And if you have it you have it, already!

In general an absence of up to 2 years is fine once you have PR. And this sounds like it will be a lot shorter...

It sounds (without looking into the details) that you already have PR.

I don't think you need to notify anyone of your trip per sae.

When did you apply for your PR Card? Have you received any confirmation of application from DOJ? Do you have your passport with you?

What national passport do you travel on? You may need a quick reentry visa if your 4EUFam is expired, but that should be issued for free and quickly.

Any trip you take will not impact the PR application.
