Re-entering the UK

Post by lollatjie » Fri Jul 08, 2011 11:14 am

Hi there

My current Student Visa expires 31st of March 2012 and I have just completed my degree. I am awaiting my Certificate but it has been delayed and I will only receive it by the end of October, beginning of November. I have also booked my flight home, (SA) for the 17th of December, returning the 2nd of January.

1) How long does the PSW normally take to process. I would like to apply for it before I go home but I am afraid to take the chance of not receiving my passport back in time for my holiday. I would prefere to do it by post as it will safe me nearly £400!!!!!!

2) If if decide to apply for it in January 2012, will Immigration allow me to re-enter the UK, less than 3 months before my student visa expires. I will obviously have all the documentation to proof that I will be applying for the PSW.

Thanks alot!!!!!!
