Spent Convictions

Post by 666zips » Fri Jul 15, 2011 2:39 am

I've just started looking into ILR and everything was looking good until I started reading about spent convictions. I have a misdemeanor for failure to pay child support and was ordered to pay restitution which has been paid in full. This charge occurred in the US and is only 5 months old. Everything I've read mentions fines and compensation but not restitution. Would this stop me from applying for ILR at this time? I would be applying as the spouse of a British Citizen.
