Apply tax credit by mistake

Post by onceblue » Thu Aug 04, 2011 8:05 pm

Dear friend,

I am holding T1 general, and to apply ILR in the next year. In 2007, I applied for tax credit by mistake (not for seeking a excuse, it was my mistake). The reception of tax credit last for two months, and I stopped it. However, the repaying encountered problem. I did not take it serious.

Now I realized the problem, and have tried to contact HM to arrange paying back. I am concerning if this still affect the application of ILR, if I successfully return the money for those tow months?

Any suggestion is appreciated!

Thanks adamboston. Now I think I am doing the right thing for recovering the mistake.
