MN1 without passport and visa !!

Post by momo1975 » Fri Aug 05, 2011 7:46 am

Hi All

I am going for ILR in march 2013, ,, both my son and daughter were born in the UK, wife and son are dependants.

Father is an Iraqi national, wife from Yemen,

We managed to get our son (who was born in 2008) a genuine Iraqi passport form Baghdad , but this option is no longer available,, the country is devastated with no law!!

My daughter was born JAN2010,and until today she doesn’t have any passport,, the system in Iraq is very complicated (if not impossible) for her to obtain the passport,,, the UK Iraqi embassy cannot issue passports - (until further notice) ,, we also tried the mother's country, but in Yemen children don’t have the right to inherit their women’s nationality !! :x

Yes we know this is very unfortunate and pathetic  ,, but we have to live with it,, so decided to leave the girl without any passport until we get the ILR, and then we will go straight for MN1.

However, the Home-office will require the children’s passports,, and date of visa !! given our special circumstances, can we register our daughter without a passport and visa??

Can anyone please advise? much appreciated....

That is incorrect.
