Ltd Co. Director- How the Dividend voucher to be issued?

Post by ilrtier1 » Tue Aug 23, 2011 7:04 pm

Hi,

Could anybody say the calculation for dividend voucher.
ie, I have withdrawn say £1000 as interim dividend(Not year end dividend).

I have to show Net dividend, Gross dividend, and tax for dividend in the dividend voucher. I have to apply for ILR.

Can you pl. say if the calculation given below is right,
I have already taken £1000 as dividend,

then

Net dividend = £1000
Tax on dividend = 1/9 x 1000 = £111.11
Gross dividend = £1000 + £111.11 = £1111.11.

Thanks in advance

Hi Matthew,

Have a query and its urgent to know if I can appeal against my Tier-1 exension refusal.

Holding a limited company (I, 100% shareholder/ Director of my company), applied under "Self-employed" category showing the Gross profits made by company as my earnings with P&L / Balance sheet from accountant. I have a UTR for my company apart from my Self-assessment UTR numbers. Am I considered as self-employed?

Reason for rejection: The earnings shown are of the limited company and not applicant's.

As to the below section (point-120; page 23 of 33) of UKBA guidelines, can I appeal to review my application or should I re-apply again? (The last sentence in the section)

Appreciate your quick reply to this urgent query as I have a week to appeal. Thanks in advance.

"Self-employed earnings within a business or company structure:

If an applicant has worked in a selfemployed capacity in his/her own business or company structure and has chosen to keep his/her earnings within the business or company, he/she could provide:
• business or company accounts that meet statutory requirements and show the net profi t made for the earnings periodclaimed; and
• personal/business bank statements.
If the applicant’s accounts and bank statements only show the gross amount of profi t for the business he/she should also provide a third piece of evidence showing the net profi t of the business for the period claimed, for example a corporation tax return or an accountant’s letter. This is because we can only consider the net profi t of the business for the applicant’s income."

I'm really not the person that you should be asking chundurb. Best speak to your own accountant or your visa agent at the outset and give full consideration to approaching a visa agent if you don't have one or approach a solicitor who acts in the area of immigration ASAP.

All the best.
