Hi
Thought I would share my recent experience in Solihull.
The gentleman who served me was very helpful and thankfully they do not process your payment until all documentation is in order. I am grateful for that!
I am on a work permit and when I originally applied there was no tier 2 SOC codes linked to my work permit documents. My legal advice dismissed the suggestion that I may need this when requesting a employer letter. WRONG!!!
Please note that all work permits are subject to the tier 2 rules for codes of practice.
Please find below Codes of Practice (COP) pointers.
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/emplo ... fpractice/
Your employer letter needs to show the following information:
Salary in line with COP
Job title in line with COP
COP reference number
Intention of continued employment
That employment has been maintained in line with COP
Hope this help someone in the future to avoid disappointment and make sure you review all your documentation prior to submission if you are receiving legal help.
Cheers
