What is your current immigration status in the UK? In your other thread you were asking about the visa application form and fees from outside the UK?Angel592 wrote:How much does it cost to apply for a student visa in the UK? I'm based in Birmingham at the moment.
I'm a home student, cuz my husband's British. Irish resident, and I've a UK visitor visa. Not sure weather it's better to apply here in the UK or go back home to Dublin and apply there so trying to make up my mind and see which one is better.Greenie wrote:What is your current immigration status in the UK? Thank you Vinnyvinny wrote:See below More information.
You can't switch from visit visa to tier 4 from within the UK you would have to apply from Ireland or Algeria. However if your husband is British why are you applying for a student visa at all? Why aren't you applying for a settlement visa or under the Eea regulations for residence card if your British husband has been working in Ireland? Is he going to be living with you in the UK whilst you are studying?Angel592 wrote:I'm a home student, cuz my husband's British. Irish resident, and I've a UK visitor visa. I know that for spousal visa I've to be 21 that's the thing, which is why I opted for student visa since I'm going to be studying next month anyway.Angel592 wrote:Nope, he's always lived in the UK. Is there any other way?Kitty wrote:You don't have to be 21 to apply for a Residence Card under the European route.
Has your husband always lived in Ireland, or at least been working there recently?
