ILR - work permit related

Ive been on a Work permit from April 2002 with my first employer, then changed to another employer in jan 2004, an then reverted to my first employer in july 2005. Due to a misunderstanding regarding my contractual start and end dates, had my WP cancelled by my second employer in June 2005 (probably to be vindictive
... since I had given notice ).

I had a new IED granted the following month and my work permit reinstated shortly after . I had not left the UK while this was proceeding.

When would i be eligible to apply for ILR?.

has anyone been in a similar situation ???????
