Reg Tier 1 Acknowledgement - Urgent

Post by mytier123 » Sun Sep 25, 2011 7:56 pm

Dear memebers,

Firstly, I would like to thank this forum for being a knowledge base for the Tier 1 applicants.

I request some sugguestions on a query regarding the acknowledgement which I haven't received yet. The details are as follows.

I'm currently in UK on Tier1 visa valid until 05-Nov-2011. I posted my Tier 1 extension application on 13-Sep-2011 (1 main applicant + 2 dependants ) and the fees (1000 +500 +500 three cheques ) has been deducted from my bank account on 20-Sep-2011. I recently got an offer from an another company which is asking for a proof that shows that I have submitted my application for extension. Unless I provide this proof they will not be officially procceding with the offer. I believe that the home office sends the acknowledgement as soon as the fees is paid which I haven't received yet :-(. I may end up losing the new job offer if I don't submit the acknowledgement by mid of this week :-(. I request this forum to suggest a way to get this acknowledgement early.

Many thanks in advance

Acknowledgement letters may be delayed, and are sent by normal post (2nd class I believe) so prone to being lost in transit.

Does the OP's bank mention in their statements the name of the beneficiary i.e. - Home Office / UKBA (for a cheque transaction) or just the cheque number? If name of beneficiary isn't given, the bank statement may be of no use.

Many thanks for the suggestions osteophytes and sushdmehta. Unfortunately, the bank statement doesn't show the beneficiary name in the statement. Would that worth contacting "Home Office" about this? any other alternatives.

Thanks

With the payment credited, your application should now be in the UKBA system. So your potential employer can contact Sponsorship and employers' helpline to enquire / verify your entitlement to work in UK.

I am not sure if a call to UKBA requesting them to issue / reissue an acknowledgement letter without delay will be entertained. IMHO, you'll be asked to wait for it arrive. But, there's no harm in trying.

Hi sushdmehta and osteophytes, luckily I got the acknowledgement today. This serves my purpose. Once again, thanks a lot for your inputs.
